Arusha Greenhouse Hostel can accommodate up to 22 people. There are three dorm rooms; one eight-bed dorm and two four-bed dorms, each with en-suite facilities. There is also a private room for two people with shared bathroom facilities including hot showers and western toilets. Room prices include breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Pick-up from town, bus station, shuttle station, and any airport can be arranged upon request.

The lounge area is comfortable and homely with free Wi-Fi access. The outdoor terrace has a self-service bar, TV, DVD player, games, darts, and a pool table. There are bicycles available to hire for the first hour free of charge. The garden area has space available for camping guests.

Arusha Greenhouse Hostel is run by the non-profit organization The Green Living Planet which provides short and long-term volunteering opportunities.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay. I was treated rudely when I asked about basic amenities listed in the booking- use of fridge/ kitchen, there was no Wi-Fi one evening, the shower in the room didnâ€™t work. Breakfast was extremely limited, only two items (egg & bread or chapati & egg), and there were no sides or fruitâ€”nor even coffee. A guest shared her. The staff spoke very little English. To top it off, I was charged extra for the entire room, even though I booked shared room.

I was wisiting in low season so not alot of other travellers, but the staff was amazing and really helpfull. Diana was so nice and made really good food. They also have the cutest hostel cat, miss him already.
