Simple, small and good. Sonja is indeed an incredible host. She (and her mom) creates a very fun and welcoming atmosphere. Also, very helpful. Unfortunately, there was a weirdo staying in my room so my experience is tainted, but I met cool people here, with whom I hung out with a lot and in Sarajevo as well. Great bakery around the corner, and close to a bridge with great view. Sarajevo transfer, know that its a delivery man and it took me 4h to reach my destination.

Me and my friend had a really good stay at the Downtown Hostel in Mostar, the staff is super helpful and friendly. A big thanks to Sonja who really went the extra mile when my friend had some issues with his back, she drove us to the hospital and helped us at the hospital. I would recommend to go on the tour that the hostel arranges, it was the best experience of the Mostar visit. - The Swedish guys
