The Inverness Student Hotel has stunning river, city and countryside views. It's a cosy building with real character and a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our comfortable dormitory rooms have between 5 and 10 beds.
We have a spacious common room with a large open fireplace and big Victorian-style windows that offer stunning views over the River Ness. It is a great place to meet like minded travellers, whilst enjoying all the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate you can drink!
The Student Hotel staff are always very friendly and approachable. We can help you book your tours, recommend places to visit and most importantly we know the hidden gems of the city to ensure you have a memorable time in Inverness.
We can direct you to nearby bike rental, and will send you on your way with free maps to help you discover the magnificent beauty that is....Loch Ness!

Also, if you are completing the Great Glen Way and need a bed to rest your weary legs then you are in luck as we are only 100 metres away from the finish line. Hurrah!!

Our earliest check-in time is 17:00pm, and our latest check-in time is 02:30am. Guests arriving after 22:30pm need to let us know beforehand, so that we may inform our night porter. Reception is open from 8am to 12pm and from 17pm to 22.30pm. The hostel is locked 02:30am-08:00am and 12pm-5pm every day.
Due to extensive cleaning required during the Covid pandemic, we ask that all guests vacate the building between 12pm and 5pm. This allow us to fully ventilate the hostel and enables our cleaners to work safely. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Due to past experience we do not accept stag or hen parties.

It was a nice atmosphere and everything, the washing was expensive and you couldn’t do it yourself so they did the laundry for you which was kind of weird. Unfortunately my sports-bra took a hit during the washing… but we got free breakfast for it at least. Overall we had a good experience.

Very nice rooms (some with an amazing view), great and quick laundry service.
A bit disappointed that check-in was at 17 and that we couldn't leave our bags when we arrived. However, the biggest bummer was that we got some roommates that checked late in the night (loudly) and also went up early (around 6, also loudly).

Very cosy hostel with great service. Breakfast and laundry service was well worth the money. Helpful staff!
Only complaints is that the room was very hot and that the top bed of the bunk beds didn’t have any railing and it felt like you could fall down.
