Astra hostel, Smithfield provides 'Pod' style capsule accommodation in the heart of Dublin city.

This property which is a short stroll from Temple Bar, overlooks the river Liffey, O'Shea's The Merchant pub and the brazen Head at Smithfield.

The capsule Pod provides double bed accommodation for up to 2 persons. Each pod has it's own interior lighting, WIFI, Air Conditioning and a small safe.

WIFI is available throughout the building, Tea and Coffee facilities including tables and chairs are provided in the common room downstairs.

The Pod Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation Policy: 7 days before arrival. Cancellation Fee will apply in the case of a late cancellation or No Show.

The host was communicative until I arrived, then stopped replying. We had no towels as promised and no hand soap in the small bathroom. The common space was dirty and just had basic tables & chairs & some old food. No games or anything else. The beds were comfy and clean though, and I loved the pod style! The location was actually excellent, close to bars and shops, I just couldnâ€™t rate it high because it affected the overall rating.
