As a twenty-bed, bespoke hostel and art gallery located in historic downtown Greenville, South Carolina, Modal serves as a hub for traveling artisans with a mixture of shared bunk-style rooms and traditional private hotel accommodations. Our sweet spot is communal living and artistic osmosis for creative professionals, digital nomads, and couples looking for an adventure. Also, perfect for that weekend getaway or group retreats.

Staying at Modal includes everything from complimentary parking, luxurious memory foam mattresses, and waterfall showers, to hi-speed wifi and a full residential-style kitchen that opens up to a large outdoor deck. Get a glimpse of our diverse and inclusive southern hospitality as you grab a coffee from our common kitchen while relaxing in the company of other guests.



Modal Conditions and Policies:

Cancellation policy: 7 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the full amount of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 22:00.
Check out before 10:00.
Reception hours 08:00 - 22:00.

Payment is due 6 days prior to arrival by credit cards, debit cards. Please Note: MODAL IS A CASHLESS PROPERTY. (We accept all major debit/credit cards).
The hostel may pre-authorise or charge your card before your arrival.

Taxes not included - the hostel will charge on top of a room's rate 10% of the room cost.

Breakfast included.

No curfew.

All guests are required to sign and acknowledge adherence to all terms & conditions as well as house rules upon arrival. Proof of identification (drivers license, passport, or government issued ID card), major credit card matching the booking name on file, and a signed copy of house rules form will be required from each traveler at check-in.

GUEST POLICIES:

No guests under the age of 16 allowed.
Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the dorm rooms or private rooms unless accompanied by a legal guardian and a signed waiver will be required at check-in.
No pets or animals of any kind are allowed. If you legally require a service animal, please call upon booking and provide legal documentation.
No smoking allowed, except in designated outdoor areas.
No personal sleeping bags, blankets, or pillows allowed.
No food or drink in guest rooms.
No non-registered guests allowed in guest rooms (shared or private).
Be Kind - Rude, belligerent, unruly, or hostile guests will be promptly asked to vacate the premises.
