Hostel New Ipanema is located in the heart of Ipanema, one of the safest and most desirable districts of Rio de Janeiro.
Our hostel is in a secure and pretty village which attracts backpackers from all over the world. We are only three blocks from the beach Ipanema and in easy reach of a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
The atmosphere in New Ipanema Hostel is friendly and informal and our helpful staff are dedicated to making your stay in Rio an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Great location. If you want to stay at Ipanema for a good price this is it. But, extremly hot in the common areas during the day. The staff is not so helpful.

One of our favourite hostels in 6 months of travelling South America! Maria and Jose are kind and welcoming hosts and they went above and beyond to help us plan our stay in Rio. Although the hostel is only small, it had a great atmosphere and we felt at home. Highly recommended!!!!
