At first, we were happily surprised that the hostel was in a beautiful old chapel and had a kitchen and a nice yard to spend time in. However, I would NEVER tell anyone to stay here because of the HEAT. There was no air condition, only a fan to make the air in a 6-bed dorm go around. When I say that the humidity in that room was unbearable, I mean it. Walking outside of the room was a relief and it was 39’ C outside…… the staff could not help and for three nights I slept a total of seven hours….

+ Location and atmosphere. Living in a church in the middle of the city really brings you right into the beauty of Florence.
- Kitchen and details. Lack of utensils, cutlery and some basic equipment such as oven and microwave. There was only one spoon in the entire hostel. The lamp by the bed was blinding neighboring beds as it was pointed sidewards rather than downwards.
Conclusion: a good hostel with great potential. Possibly the most beautiful hostel I've stayed in.

The only good this about the hostel is the location.
The rooms are nor clean. They are full of dust and dirt. The blankets are not clean.
The staff is not welcoming.
We have to leave the keys everytime we leave the hostel, and when we ask for them again, they don't ask for identification. We have no security that a random person is not going to ask for our keys and steal our things.
If we want towels or soap, we need to pay extra. The water smells bad.
The kitchen smells bad.
The garden is nice.
