Our luxe hostel has been freshly refurbished (June 2019) and offers traditional dorm style accommodation and modern hotel rooms.
The Village Cairns Hostel is located on the main strip of Cairns, giving you easy access to the local bars and cafes.
If you feel like going for a swim, we are a 2 min walk from Esplanade Lagoon and the marina where the snorkelling and diving trips depart to the Great Barrier Reef.
Most day trips and tours pick up within 100m from the hostel.

The Village Cairns Hostel Policies & Conditions
- Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
- Check in from 14:00.
- Check out at 10:00. Guests must check-out by 10am on their day of departure. Luggage storage is available.
- The Village accepts VISA and MasterCard. This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival.
- Accommodation must be paid in full at or prior to check-in.
- Taxes included.
General:
- The Village Cairns Hostel uses a mobile phone app for access to the hostel. Please install the app 'GOKI' before arrival, or contact the hostel if you are unable to access the app. This is important to be able to access the hostel.
- 24/7 reception.
- Age restriction: Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay at The Village Cairns. Guests staying in dormitory rooms must be aged over 18 and under 35 years of age.
- If you have made a reservation for more than one person in a dormitory room, we cannot guarantee that you will be allocated beds in the same room. Please ensure that you make a request at time of your booking and we will do our very best to accommodate your group in one room.
- All guests are required to present valid photo identification upon checking-in. The Village Cairns will only accept a valid international Passport. Guests without valid photo ID will not be permitted to check-in.
- The Village Cairn only has stair access into the property. The property is currently unable to support accessibility requirements of mobility impaired persons.
- Noise; We ask that you respect other guests by limiting the amount of noise after 10.00pm.
- Strictly no visitors are permitted after this time.
- No animals are allowed in the Hostel.
- Management reserves all rights to refuse accommodation

Rummet var dåligt städat vid ankomst. Under sängen låg gamla matförpackningar från föregående gäster. I delat badrum var det ingrodd smuts och avlagringar på kakelplattor och i fogar. Toapapper blev inte påfyllt utan tillsägelse. När det regnade läckte vatten in från väggen bakom sängen. Dålig nattro på grund av mycket festande på altanen som inte alltid blev låst i tid på kvällen. Synd på ett modernt, centralt beläget hostel med trevlig personal.

We lived at private double room which was very clean with good ac and an option to watch tv! The hostel overall was perfect! Big clean kitchen and the breakfast was nice! None sound regelation so the night was a bit loud, but not real a big problem! Recommend if you want a bit more of a fancier Hostel!

Amazing hostel. Everything was very clean and modern and location was perfect. The breakfast was good. Both kitchen and bathroom were extremely cleaned and well maintained. Only thing I can complain about was that the beds were quite hard and the pillows not very comfortable, the walls were also quite thin so it was easy to hear other guests coming in and out of there rooms when trying to sleep.
