This Johannesburg Airport Hostel, situated 8 km from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport, offers a 24-hour Airport/Bus Station pick-up and drop-off service, A safe and ideal place to start and end your holiday/tour in Africa.
Backpackers Connection takes care of budget-conscious travellers. Offerings include 6-bedded dormitory rooms with a desk and lockers, as well as rooms with private and shared bathrooms, for a more luxurious feel without breaking the bank.
The rooms include a light breakfast spread (cereals, fruit, toast and yoghurt), and hot meals are available from our kitchen at an additional cost.
The premises boast a delightful garden with a swimming pool for those who want to take a dip and a braai (BBQ) area. Shared spaces include a spacious lounge and a self-catering kitchen outfitted with everything you need.

Fantastic place to stay for layovers and stop offs before excursions etc. They offer a great transfer service which is very cheap and reliable as you know the people picking you up. The facilities are great with a free pool table and clean pool all in the bar area. A light breakfast is included as well which is always useful for early flights etc

Trying to find the balance between the fact my brother and I were the only non staff we saw while we were there (not really the hostel’s fault) and the fact we were jet lagged out of our minds (also not their fault) plus we were only there for one night on our way to Victoria Falls. We did book a shuttle directly through the hostel in advance. We were told where to go, but waited for half an hour before I had to buy Skype credit and call the hostel to find out what was up. The driver hadn’t even left yet

Absolutely BRILLIANT place to stay!!👍🏼
It’s an amazing 2.5 acre private estate with outbuildings, dorms and luxury tents.
Very peaceful with tranquil surroundings.
FREE breakfast, pool table, Wi-Fi, swimming pool.
Very cool bar and lounge areas inside and out but most of all the AIRPORT SHUTTLE service and the Safari tour knowledge from all the staff was just so great.
My advice is to book an airport shuttle and the accommodation and then just let them guide you with your SA plans. THANKS!!🙏
