Our stay with Quy and his family was nothing but amazing. He helped us with everything from booking tours to lending out his bicycles for us to go around Phong Nha. Overall we felt safe in Phong Nha but walking to the sleeper bus at 3 in the night we were attacked by a guy who grabbed my friend by the breast. After the incident we called Quy who came and picked us up immediately, even though it was in the middle of the night and drove us to the bus. A great host and we’re thankful for everything

Quy is possibly the best guy in the world! He will help you with everything you would need help with. The hostel isn’t exactly in the center but still walking distance to restaurants. However that isn’t a problem since he will drive you to and from the bus even if it is in the middle of the night, for free. We rented a scooter from him for a good price and drove to the caves which was perfect. Also make sure you join the family dinner! Only concern was the thin blankets.
