The owner is super helpful and kind. He offers cheap transfers to Bukit Lawang and helps you with any travel questions you have. I got a much cheaper transfer to Bukit Lawang because of this (which worked out not too much more than the public bus). The facilities are basic, but Medan is a stopover city so they’re fine for one night

The room smelled really bad, the bed even worse. There was trash from others in the bedroom, ear sticks, mask and in general not clean. Used cigarets in the bathroom, no towel no blanket. No trash in the bathroom to put toilet paper. And the host first forgot that i booked a privat room and after i insisted started complaining that he has so much to think about. Luckily i had my camping gear with me so i slept on my air mattress, if not i would have left. Cant recommend this place.
