It was fine for the two nights I stayed to do the crossing, however it was incredibly noisy. I slept in "the loft" which had walls as thin as bread so you could easily hear every conversation. Luckily, most people stay for the hike and the place gets quiet around 10pm. The hot water ran out during my second night so I had to take a cold shower after a day of hiking. Since I was looking forward to a warm shower in the chilly night, that was a bummer. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Finns absolut ingenting i närheten av hostlet, förutom en bensinmack. Sov där iom jag trodde det var nära till Tongariro crossingen, men va ca 40 min med bil. Då kan man lika gärna bo i Taurangi. Dock inget fel på hostlet, okej fräscht och fanns stora utrymmen att hänga på. Litet och dåligt utrustat kök.

Hi! Good place to stay and we got to leave our bags before cause of the crossing. But no handwash and towels in toilet. The internet did only work in some places.
