El Palmar is a small beach community famous among locals as a surfing location. The waves are perfect for both beginners and the more experienced individuals. The beach is crowded during weekdays. This picturesque village has surf schools, hotels, beach side restaurants, private homes and condominiums.
We offer shared and private accommodations, all of which share the showers and toilets. The site is perfect for a peaceful rest on the hammocks or for an active and fun volleyball match on our very own mini synthetic grass field.

Our 6 night/7 day stay at PBL was amazing. Limiting our rating to 5/5 just wasn't enough - there were 6/5s for sure! Aside from all the great things that the Lodge AND beach provide, the people - both the staff and the guests we met - made our time in the sun there better than excellent. Abdiel, Gabriel/Popote, Amy and Jesus were thee best and are already looking forward to returning in 2024. This time though, I'm going to surf those waves from start to finish! :-)

Loved my stay here! Super chill but still social thanks to Popote from the surf school. So close to the beach and felt so welcome here. Make sure to bring some snacks/food to cook as there aren’t many cafes/restaurants around mid week. Definitely a must visit if you’re looking for somewhere close to Panama City, wish I could have stayed even longer.

The booking I made was not registered by hostel world's system so the hostel did not book the beds I requested. The stay at the hostel never happened.
