Stay here!!! Beautiful location, walking distance to the night market but you might want to take a tuktuk if you're carrying heavy bags. Soooo cozy and comfortable beds! Quiet and chill, not too social tho so if you want to party you might want to go somewhere else. The lounge area is surrounded by plants so you get a jungle feeling

Overall a really beautiful place, nice dorms and clean bathrooms. Somehow the atmosphere was quite unpleasant though (even the two new volunteers left after two days?!!), as the staff wasn’t welcoming at all, didn’t show us anything around the place and wasn’t really communicative. For some reason they thought I hadn’t payed for my room as I wanted to leave, even though I had payed for it after breakfast, so they basically wanted to make me pay twice until they finally realised that I had actually payed. Sa Sa Lao provides a really interesting stay!! The guesthouse is really authentic and makes for a wonderful local experience, as you get to bask in the traditional rural atmosphere both in and outdoors.
The only downsides are the distant location from the city and lack of group events, which can build quite a lonely environment for solo travellers here.
