The bedroom is extremely spacious with sea views, crafted wood beds and on-suite bathroom, hot shower and lockers.
Our home is large and has incredible view ! Perfect balcony for a coffee and outdoor terrace with barbecue! Shower facing the sea, large bedroom, comfortable wooden beds, soft and complete kitchen, free wi fi and location between sea and mountain, near the subway, bus and the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon. You will have a great treatment and experience, we are in a community that produces real culture, a real powerhouse of Brazilian culture! Breathe fresh air and the smell of the sea with us! I hate to say it, but this was my least favorite hostel in my 3.5 months abroad. I understand what the owner is trying to do, and to his credit, he’s very nice. However…the hostel is essentially his house with a single dorm room haphazardly set up with five single beds. It does not look like the pictures. I didn’t appreciate the stained sheet, broken air conditioning, and this being billed as “guesthouse and yours.†When I asked about tours, I was told he’d take me on the Two Brothers hike for 125 Real. I stumbled upon the hike myself, and bought a wristband for entry for 10 Real. I understand people are trying to make a living, but that’s a clear s*am. To top it all off, the sole employee inexplicably left the hostel the entire time I was there (one night.). Seriously?! Get it together. I don’t recommend.

If you are visiting Rio you must experience a favela and, this hostel is the best way to experience Vidigal favela. Vidigal is an amazing with cheap prices and authentic Brazilian culture here. It is very safe here. The manager Vyny is a genuine guy who welcomes you and takes great care of you as you stay, with a free caipirinha on arrival. The views from this hostel are incredible, with vistas of the ocean, beach and mountain. The downside is the steep walk but you can catch mototaxi for 5 reas

stayed here during carnival, location is super hard to find, i arrived with a random guy in the vidigal faverla with a gun in his waist band and he asked me 'do you like violence?' i have the hostel a chance but its far from everything and if u dont want to walk 20 min up and down mountains, its 5R everytime you use moto taxi. the worker was kinda rude when i asked him to do somthing about the aircon (bearly works, and rio is SUPER hot) the ONLY good thing about this hostel, is the veiw. beautifu
