The Jungfraujoch, the area around the Aletsch Glacier and the infamous north face of the Eiger draw visitors from around the world to the Bernese Oberland every year. The youth hostel in Grindelwald is just as international and multifaceted, accommodating thrill-seekers, mountaineers, skiers and tourists in groups or as solo travellers. At the foot of the legendary three peaks sits a trio of houses with offerings for a wide range of holiday wishes – whether in the rustic and cosy chalet, the bright and modern new-build, or the romantic, tucked-away forest hut. A particular treat is our 'hot pot', a large, outdoor hot tub that offers wellness with a view, in any weather.

This hostel is a bit further out of downtown but it was worth the walk. Fairly quiet and would stay here again

One of the best hostel's I've stayed at! Because this is Switzerland, the hostel is more like hotel prices, but its the most affordable and best value you'll find in Grindenwald. My partner and I got a double private room and it worked out great if you're OK with the beds not being conjoined. Walking to the hostel isn't really an option due to steepness, so you must make the bus and the bus stops running around 7:30-8:30pm - so check ahead of your arrival. But the location makes for great views!

The staff especially at this hostel were amazing. I had an issue with my currency card and Lukas contacted me via email regarding this - we exchanged a few emails and Lukas kept the booking for me and stayed in touch for 2 days before I checked in. This was comforting for me as other hostel was fully booked. Lukas and all of the staff at the hostel we so nice.
