Spanish by the Sea

(Based on experience in 25+ hostels in this regions): The other (north) side of the island is a little more happening but it's a very short walk. Staff is incredible, free breakfast is great, bathrooms were dirtier than I hoped. I've seen some better ones but I've seen far worse on the island as well. I would check out Cliff's first and this second.

What a crappy place. The building and rooms are old and ugly; you’ll feel “yuck” when you see it. The shower has no hot water and the door is broken. Basically the facilities are from WW1 and beyond repair. The rude guy at the front desk is obviously fed up with work, called another guest a j**k, and showed up 2 hours late in the morning. Instead of apologizing he just came up with excuses. I’ve staid in >100 hostels in my life and never given such a low score before. Stay on another island!

Good fun but would need more fans in the dorm rooms. The neighbourhood is cool and the whole experience is nice. Staff are friendly, responsive and helpful.
