The hotel is located in the heart of Almuñécar, with easy access from the Costa del Sol Avenue, through which you can access the N-340 road. A few meters away is the entrance to the famous botanical and archaeological park of Majuelo, with tropical species and Roman ruins. The beaches are a few minutes walk away.

Hotel Carmen was near enough to the beach and to the town centre, and the staff were really obliging and pleasant, and the facilities fine for all of our group of seven, aged from 11 to 78.

Very unfriendly receptionist made no effort to welcome us. Not a great start. Room was adequate a bit noisy at night but did sleep okay. The location was good close to the sea and old town. Didn't try any of the facilities in the hotel due to hostility of the receptionist which made us feel uncomfortable. As location is good and room is adequate for a night's stay over we would stay again.
