This beautifully unique hostel is housed in a traditional orange farmer’s manor and, as such, each room is a little different. Guests can stay in a dormitory as well as private double or twin rooms. Guests will easily appreciate the modern simplicity and comfort at Out of the Blue that also manages to pay respect to the historical architecture.
Besides the indoor community area you can find a magical garden where breakfast and family dinners are served and also relax in the hammocks or in the pool.
Out of the Blue has a perfect location so you can easily reach every point of the São Miguel island. It's far away from the noise and only 3 minutes walk from Ponta Delgada downtown, restaurants, bars, cafes, markets, and the ocean.

Very nice and cozy hostel. You feel welcome and like one in the family.
Electricity safety is, as in many countries, ”failing”, but nothing serious. Love the garden, their activities and the excursions.

Amazing, breakfast, good location, clean rooms and facilities, beautiful garden and wonderful hosts!
This place was the best base for me when exploring the island. I would come back just to stay here!
