Billie's Backpackers Hostel (Alaskahostel.com) is the Top Rated Hostel in Alaska on several travel and tourism websites. We are a family run Hostel, born and raised in Fairbanks. Billie's is a wonderfully warm, welcoming and accommodating place. You won't find a more comfortable, personal, friendly hostel anywhere in Alaska.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of the Main Campus of the University of Alaska, there are many local shops and eateries including the Tanana Valley Farmers Market, a pizzeria, ice cream shop and more.

ALL shared rooms are Co-Ed. Billie will make every effort to separate the sexes, HOWEVER during the busy months the arrangement may be CO-ED. All travelers share bathrooms and common areas like the kitchen, dining spaces and hostel grounds.

Billie does have a few private rooms, and allows for some long-term stays, tent space and some other unique accommodations. Contact Billie directly to inquire about these.

The city bus is one block away, allowing you easy access in and around Fairbanks and North Pole. Bikes are usually available to use, just ask Billie. We are a main stop for shuttles that operates between Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, the Yukon. and Arctic Circle/Prudhoe Bay tours. Most taxi and shuttle drivers and city bus drivers know us: just ask them let you off at Billie’s (See our website for more information on ow to get around/transportation.)
