Our 5 star Glendalough International country Youth Hostel is set in a deeply wooded glacial valley in Glendalough National Park.
Private, family & dorms rooms are all available, all of which are en-suite. Self catering kitchen, free parking, conference rooms and internet access are all but a few of its features.
Glendalough was once the home of a 6th Century monastic settlement of saints and scholars.This area is a must for history, geography and nature enthusiasts. It's a great area for fishing, rock climbing, pony trekking, walking forest trails and Wicklow Way.
The nearset shop is in Laragh 2km from the hostel.
Internet 1 = 40min 2 = 60min

Really nice hostel, clean and good kitchen, all you want after a day of hiking. Cozy pub nearby for a Guinness in the evening.

The facility is was busy with school groups when I was there. I was in a 6 person room which had no hooks or tables for anyone to put their bag on or to hang wet gear. thre was only one small cupboard and a chair besides the 3 bunkbeds. The rooms and bathrooms are old and really didn't feel clean. The layout of this room was very awkward... you had to squeeze through a 12" opening to get between a bed and a corner to enter the room! I loved the location. And he staff were helpful and friendly.

The hostel was good for when you need a place to sleep. It was clean and a great location. The vibe was not social at all, and people only stayed with the groups they came with. The breakfast was absolutely not worth 8 euros. Go get decent food somewhere else. The staff was kind and helpful, and the people in the room seemed to think the room door should stay open all night, which was inconsiderate to the people sleeping. Bring your own towel, soap, etc
