Ocean front and just 10 minutes from town, Skully?s House is the perfect combination of private rooms, shared dorms and common kitchens and dining areas for all to share.
We have 4 dorm rooms (1 with newly installed A/C) and 5 ocean front private rooms. Dorms are quite unique with unusual bed placement so every person can choose what fits their best comfort. Each bed has a lamp, fan, and electrical outlets to charge your electronics. Each has its own bathroom with hot water shower. Private rooms are all ocean front with A/C, mini fridge, private bath with hot water and can sleep 2 - 6, depending on the room.

Had a great stay at Skullys. The location is a bit off, but it has nice facilities and a bar. The dorms were really cool, and offered a great deal of privacy because of the layout of the beds. This pirate themed hostel has a mixed vibe, as it’s visited by local children during the day and retired Americans by night. The bar fills with alcoholics and backpackers at night which makes it all a bit - interesting. Overall I do think this hostel deserves a better rating on the website.

Unfortunately stayed on a Monday night, which had no social activities, so I found it a bit tough to meet people (solo female traveller). I made the mistake of not bringing sufficient cash, and not realizing the closest ATM is a 15 min drive away!! any card purchase is subject to a 10% fee and minimum 10$ purchase. The kitchen and common areas are lovely, and showers were clean and warm. Food stalls are also really good. I don’t surf but it is perfect location if you do!
