Welcome to Managua Backpackers Inn (or 'MBI' as we like to call ourselves!).

MBI has been awarded the 'Top Hostel for Nicaragua' by Hostelworld.com in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014.

At MBI, we have 10+ years of experience hosting backpackers, budget travelers, and groups of all ages (and all sizes) and from all over the world. Our vision is to offer a friendly hostel in Managua that provides the facilities and services to support the modern traveler. Each of our comfy dormitory beds offers a personal shelf and power connection so that you can keep all your gadgets charged and ready to go. Whether you're just passing through Managua at the start of your trip or if you're planning on spending an extended period in Managua, we offer the perfect social environment with lots of couch space and hammocks.

Our property is located in the heart of the new modern downtown Managua close to many of the main attractions and approximately 30 minutes from the Managua International Airport. At 'MBI', we pride ourselves on being the best option for travelers in Managua. We offer a variety of room types including private rooms and dormitories to suit any budget.

The neighborhood where the hostel is located is clean and secure allowing guests to explore at any time taking normal safety precautions. We are just a short walk, bus, or taxi ride from all major national sights, markets, and major transportation terminals with connections to Leon, Granada, and San Juan del Sur.

For those of you that prefer to cook your meals, we offer a fully-equipped communal kitchen. We offer air-conditioned rooms (extra charge), CCTV cameras in public areas, Netflix movies, a 7/24 airport shuttle service (must be booked in advance), and much much more.

If you're looking for fun stuff to do, we also organize other activities inside and outside the hostel, including half-day tours of 'Old' Managua, the Masaya volcano, the Towns of Masaya, Catarina, Granada, and Leon, just to name a few.

-Reservations will be held for 2 hours after the expected arrival time that was provided to us.
-Earliest check-in time is 3 pm/Latest check-out is 11 am
-All guests must present a valid passport (or Nicaraguan National ID) upon arrival
-Must be 18 years of age or older to stay in shared dormitories
-Quiet hours begin at 11 pm.
-No curfew or lock-out.
-Only checked-in guests will be allowed within the hostel. Visitors are not permitted within the hostel.
-All rooms and indoor areas are non-smoking.
-Pets are not permitted
